How to access your Library account.

Log Into Your Library Account

Navigate to the catalog: GIL-Find@EGSC & sign-in to your account.

If you are a current EGSC student, staff or faculty member, choose EGSC Students & Faculty and sign in with your MyEGSC credentials. 

If you are NOT a current student, staff or faculty member, but have signed up to be a community borrower select EGSC Community Borrowers and sign in with your Driver's License number & password (Firstname_Lastname , all case sensitive). If you would like to sign up to be a Community Borrower, you can apply to use our resources for free! Contact us for more information. 

Go to the library homepage: Click on the blue Galileo link:

You'll be taken to the OpenAthens page. Sign in with your EGSC username & password.

Looking for something we don't have? Request it!

For books try Gil-Express first. Use this tutorial to see what books other schools in our University System can lend to you. 

If Gil-Express didn't have the book you are looking for (or if you want to request an article) try Interlibrary Loan!

To use Interlibrary Loan email one of our Librarians, or our library email ( with the publication information of what you are looking for. 

For books please provide the Title, Author, Publisher, Publication Year, and ISBN.

For articles please provide the Article Title, Journal Title, Volume and Issue Number, Publication Date, Authors, and Page Numbers.

What if GIL-Find@EGSC doesn't have what I'm looking for?

  • Change to the University System of Georgia search scope for more results available through GIL Express. 

Still Unavailable?

  • Send our Library Associate an email and she can request it through Interlibrary Loan.
