Most items in the EGSC Library are cataloged using the Library of Congress call number system. Popular fiction and DVDs are not. Most books will be located in the "Stacks" area behind the Reference desk. Books marked as "Reference" are non-circulating (cannot be checked out) and are located to the right of the Heritage Center. Books marked as "Closed Reference" or "Reserve" are also non-circulating and are for in-library use only and may be checked out at the Circulation desk using your EGSC student ID card. Some media items may also be asked for at the Circulation desk.

Check Out Books
When visiting the EGSC Library in person, bring the items you would like to check out to the Library desk located in the center of the Library, near the entrance. A borrower must present his or her own EGSC student ID card or a government-issued photo ID to check out material.
An EGSC student ID or a government-issued photo ID are also required to use Reserve material, media items, or any other material that must be requested from Library staff.

Books Not at EGSC Library
EGSC students, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to request books from other institutions within the University System of Georgia. If the library at EGSC does not own the book you are looking for, then you can search other colleges for it. Instructions and tutorials are linked below.
